Intro
The Crisis Playbook is an original publication by Artefact91, written to address a gap in practical crisis communication resources for regional funders, nonprofit leaders, and civil society professionals. The book translates strategic communications expertise into actionable guidance for organizations navigating high-pressure situations.

Objective
To produce a credible, accessible resource that equips funders and leaders with the frameworks, strategies, and tools needed to communicate effectively before, during, and after a crisis — with a particular focus on AI integration, stakeholder engagement, and organizational preparedness.

Challenge
Most crisis communication resources are either too academic or too generic for the organizations that need them most. The challenge was to write something rigorous enough to be credible, practical enough to be used, and specific enough to serve the regional funders and civil society leaders who are often under-resourced when crises hit.

Result
A nine-chapter published book covering crisis typology, AI-guided communication, nonprofit strategy, local government best practices, funder roles, case studies, training frameworks, evaluation methods, and future trends. Now available as a standalone Artefact91 publication with its own ISBN.
